Stallholder Application Form

First round applications close on Sunday September 13, at midnight.
We will review the first-round applicants and make first round offers before reviewing applications submitted after September 13. The National Folk Festival is an annual gathering of musicians, dancers, poets and more who come together to celebrate, create and connect in a safe and joyful space. We are seeking stallholders that can help us create a vibrant and engaging Festival atmosphere with unique, boutique and quality offerings that reflect our diverse folk community. We encourage stallholders to share stories through the food and drink they make, the goods they craft, and the environment they create. 

The National Folk Festival offers a safe and welcoming space for all people. We encourage applications from our First Nations Peoples, our LGBTQI+ community, people from non-English speaking backgrounds, and people living with disabilities. 

All applicant's that applied by September 13 will be advised if they are successfully shortlisted by October 16, 2026.

 Before completing your application, please read the Terms and Conditions document that is available on the National Folk Festival's website.

Note: Back of House (BOH) space can only be used for stock storage (cold or dry) or cooking.

This area is not allowed to be to be accessed by patrons, staff only.

This is an outdoor space unless you bring your own BOH marquee, in which case you will need to hire weights from us (see below).
If you are intending to hire a Marquee from us that also covers your BOH area, calculate accordingly in the next question: Stall Structure.

Trading Structure

What type of structure will you be trading from?

There are limited suitable areas for Trucks and Trailers on our site.

The prime position for Trucks and Trailers is located next to our late-night bar (Session bar) which trades until at least 3 am.

Trucks located in this area must trade until 2am, no exceptions.

All other Trucks and trailers will be located between the Fitzroy and Coorong buildings.

Weight hire (compulsory for own marquee choice)
All Stallholders are required to bring ratchet straps to secure marquees safely to hired weights.

Power

Important information:
Calculate power requirements for all equipment in your stall. 

Do NOT include cool room power in this calculation.

This information helps us to allocate sites according to power availability.

Additional power cannot be provided on arrival to the site as it is limited.

Remember to include power required for lights, EFT machines, phone charging, or other similar items in your calculations.

Hired Marquees include one light as well as the 1 x 15 Amp power outlet, therefore the included light does not need to be listed in items to be plugged in. We do recommend stallholders bring extra lighting when hiring a Marquee which should be listed in items to plugin below.

Stallholder Car Pass

One Stallholder Car pass is included in the site fee.

Stallholder Car passes allow vehicle entry in the Entertainment Zone during Bump in and Bump out and the Stallholder carpark area.
Extra passes cost $20 each.

How many Stallholder Car passes in total do you require? 
Camping
General Camping is included in your fee and allows you to camp in the Stables, Acton Arena, or Oval general campgrounds.

The Stallholder Camp zone is between the Fitzroy building and McDonalds.

Reserved sites in the Stallholder Camp Zone are 6m x 8m. Discuss with staff prior if you need a larger site
Please note there is no option to camp or park your car at or near your stall in the entertainment zone.

Reserved (powered) camping is also available in Stables (marked out sites), Bicentennial and Cotter campgrounds. These must be booked through our ticketing system, not via the stall application. These are selling fast and are limited.

This insurance is required by all stallholders to provide up to $20 million in coverage for injury or property damage caused to others as a result of your stall or activities.

This insurance provides up to $10 million in coverage for injury or property damage caused by products you sell or supply. Product liability insurance is separate to public liability insurance and is required for all food stallholders.
